Diary: 2020 New Years Resolutions | What I'm striving for this new decade

New year, same me! I think I said that last year too. This year flew by! It brought many changes and challenges that I am super thankful for. I hope you all had an amazing 2019 and here we are now in a new decade!

I may repeat some from other years and it’s because they are the THE goals I want to keep up. My list my seem shorter this year but didn’t want to totally repeat myself from 2019.

I’ve still kept them in their 3 categories | Mind, Body & Soul.

2020

Mind

Continue journaling | I started the PAUSE. journal mid-2019. In the midst of moving and settling in I fell off the journaling. I see it every night before I go to bed but my mind has been too tired recently to write in it. I feel like this is no excuse and I need to push myself again to write in it.

Save more money & spend less | Good news! All of my credit cards are paid off and I bought a house! Having paid off my credit cards eases the mind. I was never hurting but it was one less payment I had to do a month. As well as my car payment - another expense gone! The one big expense that I incurred was buying a house. This wasn’t even a goal on my 2019 list. You see…a lot can change in a year. Having this responsibility has definitely automatically forced me to not shop unnecessarily. I will be cheating on fashion with furniture from now on.

Read more | This is always a goal for me. But I love reminding myself that reading is good for the mind. I’m a slow ass reader and take forever to finish a book but it’s all good! I’ll keep it up.

Spending time with Daisy | My baby girl. I love her to the moon and back. Just looking at her face makes me warm inside. She’s become more affectionate lately which I love.

Body

Hot Yoga | Again I stopped going but I NEED to get back into it. I can feel it in my hips, legs and shoulders. I truly feel a difference in my body when I go.

Massages & Physio. | I have coverage at work so I may as well use it up! I’ve been going to physio. for about 6 months now and I’ll continue to go because it does help with my job being so physical. Massages are a given. It’s super relaxing and also calms you down.

Get more tattoos | My current obsession is Hailey Bieber’s hand tats. It’d like to accent my right hand with dainty designs. I think it’s beautiful.

Change my diet | I just eat too late and so much. I need to cut back LOL. But I love food!

Soul

Continue to travel more | Feeling the Sun on my body and the air in my lungs from different climates does something. It’s relaxing and calming. I want to make it a thing to travel somewhere hot once a year. The mind, body & soul needs it!

Spending more time with friends | I do love my friends. I love talking girl stuff with them. Catching up after not seeing each other for a while. Now that I have my own place, I’d like to have them over! Have small gatherings, wine & cheese parties, etc.

Creating my own space | Being able to live in my own space feels good. I therefore want to make it mine and decorate it the way I’d like. The main room I’d like t vamp up is the Kitchen. New cabinet fronts (all white with black hardware), back splash, flooring and appliances (DONE!).

Cooking more & trying new restaurants | 2019 was a good year for cooking. I made home made Gyozas and multiple pastas that I am super proud of. I want to explore more recipes and cooking in my new Kitchen! I love food so trying new restaurants is a must for me. Also going back to the ones I don’t visit often but enjoy very much. I want to try more seafood places and noodle houses!
