Get Unready with Me - Night Time Routine

Winding Down

On my days off, I typically just like to take it easy after a certain time. After dinner, I usually just want to watch a TV show/movie or work on my blog. Either way, I want to be comfy, hair up, makeup free and loose clothes. By the way…what are your favourite Netflix/Amazon Prime shows or movies? Leave your suggestions and thoughts down below ⇣ I’d love to check them out.

Skin Care

Depending on the day, I like to take a quick shower just to rinse off the day, sweat, any creams or oils. I like to feel fresh when going to bed. While in the shower, I’ll take my makeup off. It’s just way easier than doing it over the sink.

I’ve mentioned before that I’ve started using a balm to take my makeup off. It feels so nice to use on your face. The balm I’ve been using is the Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm by Farmacy. 100% vegan, organic and cruelty free. I use about a nickel size amount, massaging it all over my face, melting away my makeup. The citrus aroma and balming texture makes it a super calming experience.

Once I rinse off the balm I go in with an oldie but a goodie, the Tea Tree Oil Skin Clearing Facial Wash by The Body Shop. I’ve been using this for so long now I can’t even tell you how long. It’s always been my go to facial wash and because it’s perfect for blemished skin/oily skin and I think that’s the main reason I went for it in the first place. I talk about this face wash 3 years ago in my Summer Skin Care blog post which mind you has changed a bit but I stay true to this facial wash.

In my Night Time Trio post, I also mentioned a serum. I’ve since then have run out of that product and haven’t replaced it. I liked it a lot but I don’t think my skin really LOOOVEDD it. I did a good job but I think next time I’d like to go with an oily or lighter serum. Basically I wanted extra hydration on my skin over night.

The next step out of the shower is my night cream. The Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Face Cream by Fresh Beauty is beautiful. I go this back in April and it’s still going strong. It may look like I’m almost out but I only use a pea size of product each night so this product could last me a good 6 months. That’s great! With this scent being citrusy and smooth, it feels so good on my skin and super calming to breath in while I massage it on my face.

I love the way my face feels once it has been washed from the day. It feels so open, clean and free! Like I’ve said in all my skin care posts, it’s taken me a while to find the perfect products for my face. I’m still finding new ones today! Only when I truly started taking care of my face did I find the right products. I took advice from other influencers that I found I enjoy other products they use for themselves.

Relax

After washing up, I go back to relaxing with my work or Netflix LOL. Usually I watch a movie or TV show while laying in bed. I love my bed.

A little extra

Recently, during my work week, I’ve been taking CBD oil to relax after a busy work day. Like I’ve said, my job is very physical and sometimes my legs are super achy after a shift. I also do get headaches and suffer from having stiff shoulders that can cause a headache or discomfort. I’m someone who always takes Advil to relieve pain and I wanted to stop doing that because obviously, too much Advil in your life is not good. So I’ve started using a CBD oil to help relieve my aches and pains. These are not as tremendous as other people have. My aches and pains are simply uncomfortable and sometimes keep me up from sleeping right away. I under stand people have much greater pains out there.

With that being said, the CBD oil I currently use has no THC in it. I also only use the tiniest amount. The oil calms me down to sleep and not think about my achy legs or stiff shoulder. I also use a peppermint oil. I roll in on my temples, on my neck to shoulder area and a little under my nose so I can take it all in. These 2 combined make me have the deepest sleep ever!
